Game says it works on Windows 10 but it simply crashes as soon as it loads with no info, anyone have any advice?

I've got the same problem, running Windows 10 pro, also tried launching game as admin. It runs fine on my other system with Win7.

I guess GOG lied about that one; I contacted customer support to see if they can do anything about it...

Weird, I just bought the game and it runs fine, the only thing I cant do and thats why I came to this forums is enabling widescreen.

I found that this occurs only when using the launcher from GOG Galaxy. When downloading the executable directly from the website, it works fine.

Try reinstalling the game, but in a shorter path (say c:\Games instead of c:\Program Files (X86)\GOG.com\blablabla). Worked for me.

This worked like a charm. Stay away from the GOG Galaxy launcher on this game and you should run it just fine.

I just wanted to say installing it directly from the GOG site rather than through the galaxy launcher did the trick for me. Thank you everyone that posted this fix :)

Still true today, the gog galaxy app causes issues with star wars rogue squadron 3d.
I could not launch it properly but the manual installation for gog works perfectly.

Tried DLing separate to Galaxy and still getting the same error on Win 10 - 'Cannot initialize HAL'

I was able to get it working from the galaxy installer once I installed it to a GOG games file on my primary hard drive. (Not a folder in the programs or programsx86 folder)
