As an exercise in InkScape, I decided to take the Rogue Squadron logo here and vectorize it for custom box art or wallpapers or some such thing. In vector image format, it can be scaled as large or small as you want without a loss in quality.

Here is a link to the SVG and here is a link to an example wallpaper I made with it.

As you can tell, I'm a big fan of this game.

Wow, that looks great. The ending S in WARS could be slid over closer to the R. Also, the ROGUE SQUADRON is a slightly different font. However, that's just nitpicking, and it's better than what I could have done.

Both of those differences were choices made with artistic liberty. The STAR WARS logo used in the source material has been modified from the official one to condense it down, hence the subtle difference. I used an existing vector here that more closely resembles the logo used in the movie intros.

The font of ROGUE SQUADRON is actually just a manual recreation by me with rectangles. The only real difference is that the rounded edges are uniform and a bit smaller, which I thought looked a little cleaner.

A less obvious but more unintentional difference is that the gradients and colors aren't exactly right, but I did the best I could there.

I'm glad you liked it, and I hope you and others can find a use for it. Now to see if I can't find a high resolution version of the background in the source image.

Ah, that makes sense.

I was mainly thinking of the D & the R, but manually created! Thought for sure it was a font.
