The camera controls keep getting taken by the AI leaving the piloting quite hard. Is there a way to lock the choice of camera and not have the AI change it every time you turn?

That's something I would like to know too, it's really annoying. I have to keep on changing the camera to reset it, and sometimes it doesn't work.

The only thing that I have found that works is to play in cockpit view.

Try pressing the Home button and see how that camera works for you.
