Zeratai: Sad to say, but I've known a lot of players that come and go. Once I asked a player why they don´t play with other people beside their friends, he told me players don't like to play this game against people they do not know. I've been playing since 2009 only multiplayer is very rare to find someone. Also I find that brazilian players are (were) the most active. I found a site (and then lost the adress) where they have a brazillian ladder for this game. Unfortunately they are a very selective community and I as I said before they onlyplay amongst brazillian people (very weird in my opinion). Also they are very weird people, they tend to make fun of you losing to them and when they are losing they call you communist and such other weird things, they tend a lot to insult and sarcasm and ultimately when they lose they rage quit and block you. I find it very difficult to play against you, and when I do I don't really have fun. Like I told you it is like playing chess with a profesional. You can't do shit and with all your efforts you will end up losing, but sure I will play you again sometime, cause I like the game. I find rebellion to be a very difficult game to share with other people, as we all don't enjoy the game the same way (some like rules, others don't, some like space battles only, some like sabotage and espionage, etc, etc)
So as far as I know, not all have the good amount of time to waste losing agaisnt more experience players like you and me (you more obviously) so I think we are the only REAL ACTIVE PLAYERS out there...
Good luck finding more... sad,
because rebellion is actually the best strategy game out there in my opinion...
I agree, man. Back in the day, I was in the top 50 in StarCraft on Battle.Net. Yet, THIS is the game I keep coming back to. The multiplayer is so freaking good. Every game is unique, every time you start a new game, it's like you're opening Christmas presents to see what's inside. It's a great game and it's unfortunate that it is so underrated. It might be because of the learning curve, or it might be because of the fact that people aren't familiar with the game's intricacies, but this game should be WAY more popular than it is. If I had a time machine I'd go back to the time when it was played more often on the Internet Gaming Zone, just to have more multiplayer competition.
