I am doing the missing Selkath side quest. I talked to the Pazaak player, which referred me to the Irodian Mercenary. I can not talk to him, buy information, or persuade him, and when that occurred, Bastilla cut in and force persuade him. Unfortunately, when that occurs, it kicks out of the speech sequence without updating the journal. What next? Any ideas? Thanks!

Have you spoken to Shaelas again? From memory, if you give him information on the mercenary (persuaded or otherwise), he progresses the quest.

Yes. That did not seem to work either.

Hold on, I'm checking all my KOTOR files. Sadly I have A LOT OF THEM!!! :P
Shouldn't you need to assault the Sith Base to complete the missing Selkath quest?

I recently replayed KOTOR and and it does

OKAY...

Slight Spoiler.

Forget the quest for now. Eventually you will get into the Sith base and come across a room with the missing kids in it. The rest is up to you, so I suggest you save before doing anything. I forget exactly but you'll get several different options between sucking up, to yelling, to rationalizing, to killing them all. Every one of these carries with it a specified number of DS or LS points and everyone of these will end the quest.

Of course this is a little more concise answer. XD Alas it is correct so make sure he gets credit.

Thanks all. Maybe it kicks me out, as I have more to do? Rather odd; but, I will try doing other stuff first. Thanks!
You should poke one of the K1RP people, see if they can find the dialogue for you (they are more familiar with the structuring than me). Just breaking right after doesn't sound like it should happen so maybe there is something amiss there worth looking into.
