I was able to play this game on my laptop three years ago after struggling a bit with the resolution issues. Now, I wanted to replay it, so I reinstalled it, and after several attempts, the game won't launch. I've tried lots of things to solve this issue such as playing it in compatiblity mode(98, xp, etc.), installing the latest DirectX, installing resolution mods, reinstalling the game over and over again... and it just won't work. I do not know whether it has to do with the resolution or not, but if it is useful, when I run the swconfig.exe, I have no resolution options, and when I scan the hardware, a message pops up telling there's either a corrupted or missing file. I tried verifying the files and reinstalling the game but the problem persists.
