I have a problem with the movies on both of these games. They crash the game after playing them. I am on an Intel HD 3000 but unlike some can actually play the games with the movies disabled. And just to clarify I am on the steam version I'm asking to see if gog fixed this issue and if so how?

Try disabling frame buffer effects
I also had to disable them altogether. (Intel HD4000; tried resolutions: 1024x768 and 1280x768, framebuffer effects always disabled, since i can't activate them in the first place.)
Interestingly, the very first movie, arrival at Peragus, always plays without problems, later ones always crash.

After switching to the newer "test" exe GOG support gave me (I couldnt run the game - intel HD 4000) the game ran perfectly and no crashes - either due to mivies or anything else.
