My OS native language is french. When I run Empire At War or Forces Of Corruption it runs in english fine but when I run a mod for FOC it runs in french and everything shows as {MISSING}. I've only been able to run Republic At War because somehow if I switch RAW language to french I get all the english texts with all the vanilla ones in french.

I think this is because mods run through MCELaunch because when I launch MCElaunch it runs in french no matter what language settings I set up.

Workaround I found was to launch using a shortcut of swfoc.exe with this command line: LANGUAGE=ENGLISH MODPATH=Mods\Republic_At_War

I know it works because I had to switch it back to english from the RAW launcher.

Had the same problem and your solution also helped me solve my other problem (game was always running in windowed mode)! I just added " - fullscreen" (without quotes but (!)both(!) blank spaces) at the end of your command line. Thank you so much for posting your solution here!
