Hidy ho all,

I'm playing through the campaign right now, and still only have Venators and Tartan Cruisers.

Now I'm keeping my venators back as artillery, and using my tartan cruisers as both anti-fighter and general purpose attack ship. I'm also targeting missile/torp launchers first.

I'm curious if everyone has the same idea, or if there is another way of doing things.

You have the right idea... kinda.

Tartan Cruisers are like frontline assault vessels. Try to rally them into large or medium clusters.

Then use Tie class ships to distract, lure and chase X-wings, A-wings, B-wings and other Rebel strike craft into Tartan Cruiser ambushes which would explain the extra firepower ability.
