Playing through Jedi Knight again since so many years. But I'm getting a bit annoyed by the constantly playing "boss fight music". Is it supposed to play so often? I bought JK when it first came out back in the day, and I can't remember that it would play anywhere else than in boss fight levels. Now it can randomly start in any stage, and it seems to do that quite a bit. Maybe I'm wrong, but can someone verify?

Not that the boss music is bad at all, it's just a bit stressful to hear over and over when you're just going through levels, having a good jedi-time xD

Interesting observation.

It's an issue of the soundtrack playing through the CD on Jedi Knight compared to midi music that played through the original Dark Forces program. Personally, preferred the technique of how midi music responds to how the player interacts to the gameplay but at the time of Dark Forces release, CD quality music could not be achieved without the disc. Perhaps the reason for the change had something to do with hard drive space capacity...?
