Alright so, I'm really sorry if this is the wrong section. I'm going crazy trying to find the area to request a refund, I just can't find it for whatever reason.

I figured while I'm asking where to find it, I'd ask if I'm even eligible for a refund. I bought the dark forces 1 and 2 pack with the expansion.

Dark forces 1 worked like a dream, really fantastic job getting it to work with modern systems, but moving on to Dark forces 2 I found it to be a complete mess, it's completely unplayable, crashes constantly, sometimes just doesn't play sound or music at random. I spent multiple hours trying to get it to work with no avail.

It's unfortunate but I understand getting such old games to work on modern systems can be difficult.

My question is - having bought them in a pack, and having had no problems with 1 part of that pack (dark forces 1), am I eligible for a refund? if not, I totally understand.

Thanks.

you could try contacting support about your issue,
they may be able to help find a solution to get the game to work for you

or at least inquire about a refund

this is assuming yu have searched through the dark forces series forum
to see if anyone else had your problems and got it fixed

goodluck i hope you get things sorted out
Have you tried all of the fixes in the stickied "Hardware Acceleration" thread? They include fixes for hardware acceleration, music, crashes and such. I'd like to particularly point you to my reply from a few months ago, which gives step-by-step directions that worked for me:
