This thread is for anyone having issues hosting their own dedicated server for Battlefront II on GameRanger.

I myself have the Battlefront PC server (v1.1) installed on a server I'm renting. I use the Server Manager that comes with it to admin my Hero Assault server. But I'm running into some issues..

Issues List:

- The "Players" tab doesn't always correctly display who is in the server.
If your name isn't on that list and you're an admin, you can't use in-game commands like !kick, !ban, or !switch. Instead, you have to login using /admin /login password and use those commands.

- The "Players" tab constantly refreshes, despite having that option unticked.
This is probably just an issue with the Server Manager software. v1.08 and v1.10 both had this issue.

- The Remote Server manager doesn't connect to a server run through GameRanger.
This is also true for any program that remotely connects to the server, such as a chat reader. It works just fine when the server is launched outside of GameRanger though. This is probably just an issue with GameRanger itself.

- Players using admin hacks to control the server.
I've found the solution for it - a patched .exe file that fixes this, which I found on the forums of SWGO. It can be downloaded here. Special thanks to Bryant for creating this patch.

Anyway, it would be nice to have a discussion on these issues in order to keep the Battlefront II community alive and kicking. If you run into any problems (or solutions!), feel free to discuss it in this thread.
