FoxMcFoxy: Just to be very, very clear here. GOG announced they brought the multiplayer back. There was NO asterik stating it would be nothing but a test phase. They fully aware suggested the mp was working as the customer would expect it. They even had a discount on Star Wars games running at this time of the announcement, hoping people would buy into the revive of the multiplayer. But guess what, the mp was not working as intended. It was a mere joke when one could at best play a 5vs5 match, when GOG advertised the game with 64 player battles.

Not saying GOG tried to rip us off. They probably had much faith in their product. But making people buy into a thing without clearly stating upcoming issues is a very shady thing to do.

Claiming people should use gameranger or swbfspy pretty much underlines who incompetently the patch was thrown together. Yes, it does run on modern hardware and as far as I could tell they game ran rock solid. No crash or anything. But the multiplayer mode was and still is FUBAR.

Just because a service is free (although I bought the game on GOG because of the announcement) does not mean we have to accept, yes I say it, a shitty service. I don't have to accept someone pissing in my face just because he does it for free. But now, almost two months later, GOG is still emptying their bladders onto those who bought the game after the announcement the MP mode is now 'officially' back.
Their team is smaller than you might think and therefore it makes testing difficult
I hate to say it but at this point I give them no excuses for not fixing it by now considering they can't even give us a official statement on what is going on. For all we know it might never be fixed.

If you did your research you would know they already did, in the form of community responses (through email or by Discord) and forum posts. Do your research before making assumptions.
