Hi,
I managed to fix the stuttering sound in Battlefront 2 by using the "audiomixbuffer 1" fix (setting it to 1 totally fixed it and I also followed official advice and adjusted the sound sliders). But I thought the following patched would fix the gamebreaking, repeating noise you get when you're awarded "damage reduction" during a mission.
The mods are here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/battlefront-forever/downloads/unofficial-patch-v12-v13 I installed them as per instructions in the following order:
1: SWBFIIv1-2_Setup_r2.exe
2: v1.3-r117
3: v1.3-r129
So patch 1 doesn't fix it, patch 2 removes award effects (I think this is the irritating sound you had from bacta regeneration), and patch 3 removes "award graphical effects" so the irritating blue circles from regen.
Unfortunately I've still got the irritating noise from earning the damage reduction award during a mission. I'm assuming this is a bug (in fact all of it must have been a bug) because otherwise it means that somebody at Pandemic Studios thought it would be a great idea to have these annoying sounds playing every single moment of the game.
And assuming that would just be silly. So is there a fan patch that takes it out?.
