I got this working by doing the following

INI Edit the Resolution & FOV: Go to --> ...\BaseEF\efconfig.cfg

Change these lines:

seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_customwidth "2560"
seta r_customheight "1440"
seta cg_fov "90"(16:10) or "97" (16:9)

Issues: FMV videos only show a white screen with the sounds from the FMVs video.
Cutscenes are VERT- and the Weapon gets smaller the higher the FOV.

Worked for me :)
There is a better working method available. Just download either

1_20_StarTrek_Voyager_Elite_Force_Centred_HUD.7z - Centred HUD
1_20_StarTrek_Voyager_Elite_Force_Stretched_HUD.7z - Stretched HUD (may be useful for 16:10 and 16:9)

from this site: https://www.wsgf.org/dr/star-trek-voyager-elite-force

and then copy the files from the folder that matches your resolution into the game folder. With this method it's not Vert- anymore but Hor+ and cutscenes work.

I wish someone would also fix the multiplayer with this method. Since this only applies to Singleplayer.

Works also for the MP on my end.

After copying the files, do i need to make any changes to the ingame settings? Or will it just work?

I made sure I have all the other graphic options set to the maximum, configured my controls etc. and then I just copied the files from the resolution folder (250x1440 in my case) into the game folder.

There is only one weird bug when using this widescreen method. When you open the options menu both in sp and mp the character model on the right side will look extremely stretched vertically. Nothing that affects the actual gameplay though but still I wish someone would find a fix for this so everything in the game would work 100% fine with the Hor+ widescreen patch.

I just tried this method with the files downloaded and it didnt work. It doesnt seem to replace the epconfig file with anything and adds another file that doesnt change anything.

Not sure if there is a step missing
ok the strechted version works but im pretty sure you have to ensure that epconfig is deleted first!

I didn't delete anything after dropping the Hor+ patch files into the game folder and everything just works fine.

Came here looking for 4k support! Thank you so much!
Edit: centred seems to work fine without needing to access the config

Take this as solution:

Got the solution thanks to Google bringing me to this blog article:https://oldgamesloser.wordpress.com/2017/12/03/star-trek-elite-force-on-windows-10-single-player/

Simply put:
* Go to BaseEF\efconfig.cfg and open it with Notepad++
* Find com_hunkMegs
* Should be defined with 32
* Set it to 64
* Save the file

Game worked flawlessly for me after this (and applying the widescreen patch and widescreen HUD) :)

works for me with 256.

Are these problems Nvidia only / Ryzen only?
Thanks
