Hi,

when trying to play the game stock (as downloaded from Gog), I have a issue with the mouse cursor. The mouse cursor always flickers. In the menu it is disturbing, but not game breaking. During a mission however, I can play normally for some time, but after a few minutes (or in the next mission) the game starts to stutter when I move the mouse (when I only use the keyboard it plays fine).

Things I tried:
enabling/disabling:
- hwblit / async in the SFC.ini
- removing/renaming the cursor images

Because nothing really worked, I followed this (I tried both the linked and the updated mod, same goes for dgvoodoo):
"all_in_one_upgrade_mod_32_working_with_gog_sfc_3" (The topic in the Gog forum - Sorry, I cant post links)

However, now I am unable to play most missions because I get the error "unable to draw Glow". Menus work fine.

Any suggestions?

Yeah i tried downloading starfleet command 3 on GoG galaxy and got the flickering problem, My other computer that doesn't have the galaxy install has the offline version installed and it works perfectly.
Unortunately the standalone installer doesn't work for me either
Same, the cursor flickering is the source of a massive drop in fps, making it almost unplayable. Already tried the enabling/disabling:
- hwblit / async in the SFC.ini
- removing/renaming the cursor images

But to no avail :(
Fixed it, apparently, it has something to do with the fact that I'm using 2 screens (1 laptop screen + 1 TV). Used only one screen, and voila!

Actually, it's not a universal fix, you just got lucky. But glad it worked. It's been an issue with SFC3 installs on Windows 10 for many. Some tweaks work most don't. But, it doesn't affect game play.
