As per subject.
I installed the game, I ran the DirectX settings additional executables in GOG Galaxy and configured as shown in the provided screenshot.

Initial launch looks good, I get the Enterprise E fly by of the logo, then black screen. Task Manager shows the exe as not responding.
Any assistance appreciated.

For what its worth, I bought this game retail back in the day and it never worked then either.

Thanks. I don't get an exception, however I have followed the steps shown. See attached. Same result.
PC info included. GPU: GTX 2080 Ti.

Edit: OK. I seem to have got it working by setting it to windowed mode, but at the display mode of my monitor.

Similar here, slightly different: After the intro the game window disappears, although I still have it's icon in the task bar. The invisible window still has my mouse captured, but when I Alt-Tab, I can see in the Task Manager that the game is not responding anymore.

Update: I got everything running just fine by setting "Presentation" to "Windowed" in the DirectX Settings executable. In GOG Galaxy you can access the "Additional executables" through the Button with the two horizontal sliders Icon right of the "Play" button. Hope it works for you as well.
