This game still takes a lot of tinkering in its current state. In some cases you will need to adjust compatibility mode settings or use the "dxcfg.exe" utility that is in the game directory. However, settings that work for one person crash for the next. So don't get frustrated. In addition to that the "SFC Upgrade Mod 3.3" mod is also hit and miss settings wise.
