Any longtime players of KA who also played this? I love the former but never got around to this, in part because it just looked like a somewhat cut down version of KA where I can’t manuever in 3 dimensions. Anyone who played both care to comment on the comparison between the two?

This is more of a tactical simulator than KA. KA is more simulating piloting a Klingon ship. Both are great Interplay games and more fun than any of the current crop of Star Trek games, especially Star Wreck Online.

Klingon Academy is more atmospherical, more interesting.
But, SFC 2 OP is more equal, some kind ...

I felt Klingon Academy had more in common with Starfleet Academy than this. This being a strategy game where you play the role of an admiral as opposed to a captain. :)

As for comparing it properly with SFA, KA took all the best parts of SFA and improved upon it. Fantastic games and a fantastic sequel in general.
