Hi there.

STBC is my second purchase from GOG, a game I loved decades ago but could never get working for long post windows XP days. I have only bought 1 game from GOG previously and been very happy with the purchase and was really looking forward to this one as it is the best scifi ship simulator ever built to date that you could literally throw all sorts of ships against each other from the community star trek or not, but over time it became as stable a house of cards in a stiff breeze due to modern graphics systems at a guess.

So when I heard GOG bought the rights I though great, they will fix it! and so I bought it from GOG, and 10 minutes in, it crashed. And did so on repeat no matter what I tried nor what thread I read for info (I am a system builder of many years, I did all sorts) I found It is actually more stable when modded with BC remastered, I can get 20 minutes or so out of it with that, then crash.

So my question to you GOG, is did you do any work on this or just buy it and re-release it to us all? :) as try as I may I cant see where the improvement is over the CD copy I own from two decades ago, it performs the same, terribly.

Edit:

Half of the message went missing once posted.

In brief,
Will you be doing any more work on it as it is a wonderful game with a lot of replay value, that really is deserving of some love to make it work properly if that is possible. I live in hope.

Best wishes and with thanks.

GOG doesn't own the rights to the game nor did anything to it, what makes you think that? Do you think Valve owns every game on steam? This game wasn't stable on the systems it was made for either.
