Hi,

I released STA2WidescreenPatch on GitHub which finally adds proper widescreen resolution support to Star Trek: Armada 2 after 22 years. Besides widescreen support, it also adds support for arbitrary resolutions supported by your monitor (e.g. 1152x864) which were not supported by the original game.

It works on all versions: demo, 1.0, 1.1, GOG.com, and Patch Project 1.2.5.

Info, instructions, and the download for the patch can be found on GitHub by searching for STA2WidescreenPatch (sorry, including the link doesn't seem to work for me).

I hope the patch can somehow be incorporated with the GOG.com release. The code is open-source.

That's the one. Since I was a first-time poster I was unable to include the link in my first post.

Works perfectly for me, then. The UI is stretched instead of being segmented but that'd take some more modding to remedy, I assume.
