Howdy all!

So thrilled that Armada II now works on Windows 10 and later. I've missed playing this game. I'm in the process of installing my mods for Armada II - some of which are missing wireframes. I'm pretty good at making the wireframes, but, for some reason, my wireframes - the black backgrounds aren't transparent, and covers up the rest of the wireframe. So, I get like a black box with 1 section of my wireframe visible (usually the section designated for sensors). I've been trying to use Westworld's Big Book of Modding, but, clearly Photoshop's been updated and the methods in Westworld's BBOM, aren't available anymore, or have been changed.

So, my question is - has anyone been able to successfully create new wireframes for Armada II mods? If so, how do you make the background "transparent" in game? I'm using Photoshop CS6.

All you really need is a transparent background. You can do this with many programs. The way I would do it, using paint net (free). Is to open an existing wireframe image, delete the wireframe itself, add a layer and then paste a cutour from another picture on top of it, then save as .tga. It's very similar to making a .png image

This was the first thing I tried. I used one of the default fedwireframe images, and it did the same thing. Which was why I tried to make a fresh one, and still couldn't get a transparent background.
