I downloaded the game today and tried to boot it up.

It brings up a small logo in th emiddle of my screen then a blacked out tab then just shuts down entirely. Doesn't even try to load. Been through the changing resolution and trying to negate the video files thats mentioned in the comments and still nothing. Not happy.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHz

Computer Specs for anyone that can help
Hi.

I'm presuming that you've tried altering settings in the DirectX Wrapper included? If not, maybe try that first, see how you get-on :-).

For those who don't know, the DirectX Wrapper is installed in the installation directory, in my case D:\Star Trek\Armada II.

The DirectX Wrapper is called "dxcfg" and gives you some options to alter if your game is struggling to load. Try playing-around with the settings and see if that helps.

Let us know how you get-on :-).

The following worked for me.
Copy and paste the following into CMD prompt:
cd C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Star Trek Armada II
Press enter
Copy and paste the following immediately after new text:
start armada2.exe -nointro
press enter
