I've been playing Armada II the last couple of days, after taking a break from it, and I'm getting this error that just started a little bit ago. The error reads:

"Out of Memory: Increase Swap File Size". I did a restart of my computer, and that didn't fix the problem. So, I went and looked up my Swap file, and it's currently got 1.6 GB allocated for the swap file. And I know that Armada II doesn't need that much.

So, I'm at a loss as to why this error is cropping up. Any help?

Hi there,

This is an odd error for this old game. I think the game checks the RAM size against the size of the page file. Make sure you have a static swap disk/page file (minimum and maximum size identical).

Windows is by default set to dynamically adjust this file size, which may cause delays and issues. This also can fragment the pagefile especially on systems, that have no SSD's yet.

I usually set mine to the amount of RAM you have installed. In the past with lesser amounts of memory it was advised to use 2times the RAM amount, but this is today too much.

I hope this helps with this particular error.
