Guys,

I'm looking for some help in getting the game to work. When I launch the game, I am unable to select any of the game options once the intro has done it's thing or I've skipped past it. I've tried to install patch 1.1 but it says that the destination isn't valid or something like that and I can't select a destination either so the installation closes, tried patch 1.25 and I need 1.1 installed before it will let me do that!

So folks, I need your help in helping me get this classic to run properly.

Also, I'm looking to ask if you're able to install any of the mods that are out there as well and if so how you go about it.

My computing skills are basic so keep it simple, like me! :)

Patching an already patched game with an installer meant for the original retail 1.0 release. One question: WHY? Depends on which distribution you used. The EXE one won't recognize the modified game executable from GOG so you'll need the ZIP one: http://armadafiles.com/files/armada-2/mods/patches/star-trek-armada-ii-patch-project-zip-125/details

Also, if you have an AMD card, I'd say don't even bother, and instead take it directly to GOG staff since it was only tested on Nvidia and/or Intel cards, and AMD is notorious for breaking support for old games. The same way as 20 years ago.

I honestly can't remember how I installed mods and maps from back then so any help greatly appreciated.
