Hello, all.
I'm not sure if this has been covered before, couldn't find any similar issue. I purchased Star Trek Armada II yesterday, after not playing it for many years it is still awesome, but the jerky graphics were terrible.
I'm running a Ryzen 9 system, with more than enough resources to cope with an older game, so I went into testing mode, to try to fix it... I did, so if anyone has similkar issues, I hope this helps you :-).
After an hour of testing different settings, nothing solved the problem, until...
Using AMD Software Adrenalin Edition, I had my basic setup as "Quality", Armada II doesn't like that setting, so I changed it to "Performance", VOILA, all sorted and running sweet.
