wont launch, i press play, then it says syncing then game pops up for half a second (mini window) and then goes away and wont launch

I'm having the same issue. Tried all the troubleshooting steps, DX windowed mode, installing DirectX, compatibility settings with no luck. :(
Windows 11 home (21H2), core i7-8550U, 8Gb ram.

I had the same problem after installation. Game crashes instant after going into fullscreen @4K. Now, game starts only in windowed mode (DirectX-Setup, first successful start with 1280x800@60Hz resolution). After that I changed the ingame resolution to the maximum of 1600x1200 and closed. The second successful start was with 4K-resolution with windowed mode. Now it works perfectly.

Strange: the movement speed of the nebulars seems to be depended on the processor clock speed. I played the game in my youth on Intel Pentium II @400MHz - I thinke there were no "dancing" nebulars in the past ;-)

I run it on Windows 11 with Lenovo Legion 7 16, RTX 3080mobile, Ryzen 5900HX.
