Hi,

I'm trying to play on a laptop without a number pad. But you cant zoom or rotate without a number pad. At the moment to play the game I have to use a full size usb keyboard plugged into my laptop. This is obviously far from ideal. Is there a way to remap keys?

Yeh this is why game needs option to change controls since not a fan of not using wasd for movement controls.

Kind of wish someone would give a response to this or a workaround since wanted to play this on laptop and kind of feels awkward to play on laptop without ability to change controls. Dev's even pay attention to these forums?

You can zoon in and out by pressing the left and right mouse buttons at the same time and moving back and forth. Playing using a pad is horrible though. Get a mouse

I already use mouse but sometimes don't mind not using external mouse. I mainly don't like using arrow keys instead of wasd for moving direction controls for camera since wish there was a way to use custom input.

Have you looked over the laptop keyboard to see if a section is dedicated as a squared number pad within the keyboard? Usually it is denoted as having a different color within the standard key block. example being all the key blocks are black, the key marker, letter Z or number 7 being white.The keys for the number pad functions would be orange, as a color example. My number pad is a square set of numbers forming from center to the right covering numbers 7-Zero, letters U-P, J-L, M-/slash with plus and minus on keys somewhere in there.
The function or FN key, is how I would operate the number pad keys on my laptop.
Depending on your brand and model as each manufacturer is stranger than the next.
You may want to search how to activate it as newer laptops tend to have a ridiculous way of doing this, like an app.
