I played the mission now 3 times and I can't seem to trigger mission success.

First time I allied with the Ferrengi, on second try I just eradicated the whole map.

In any case I grabbed the Omega particle and brought it back to base, but then nothing happened. I tried to destroy the ship using a shockwave to get a new one, but also the new one would not trigger mission end.


I know that back in the days this was alrady an issue. Somehow I got past it then, but I can't remember how.

just finished this today, i took the particle back using a 2nd collector ship and took it to base, i told it to go to one station but was wrong starbase, so told it to go on the one next to it and mission triggered the end after that. So if u had a few starbases cos ur warbirds need crewing, try sending the ship to each one till it triggers.

save file for next mission start if it helps, its stock armada with 1,3 fan patch on, nothinig else.

I did try that on my first attempt, but it was no good (who knows, maybe I didn't fly close enough).
However, I finished the mission now, I didn't build a second base, that did the trick.
