Hi,

In the instant action menu there are several drop down option slots for every player (eg. race, team...). If I select one with left mouse click it gets immediately deselected again. I can still somehow get the desired result by holding left click and hoovering over target before releasing the button. But it is impossible to assign a specific player color to any player besides the human player that way because colors are not in a drop down menu and deselection always defaults to player no 1.

Thanks in advance

I see same issue here too. I'll see if I can find out why.

Is the issue that you want to select a specific color and apply it to an opponent or all of them? The size of the map determines what colors can be used. 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 equal to how many colors can be used. Further description below, if it helps.

Map size determines how many opponents you can play against. So if you intend to play against one player but want a specific color you could select an eight player map and assign opponents from the bottom up leaving the second player slot free until your reach the desired color. Assign that opponent and the color should populate correctly and then you should be able to remove the other opponent. So if the map you using is 8 player or down to 2 you should be able to control the color scheme that way. It's been a while and if changing map size reverts the selections then I am afraid you'll have to stick to larger maps only. But that's room to expand your empire.
Cheers
