Hi,

I started to play the game using german text in the dialogues. But I am getting hunted because the text windows skip automatically and I often have to trie to read the text very fast. Auto-skipping only stops when you have to select an answer.
I know, If you select Kirk there is a "text display" option in the options menu, but I can't figure out what it does..? I tried it, but got no response or indication what it changed. Didn't see any hint in the manual, too.
Any idea if it is possible to stop the auto-skipping ?

By the way: somehow the game seems to run a little "fast" to me. I feel this, when I move the away team. And with the textboxes of course....

Click 'Text Display' and choose the option 'Display text until you press enter'. This will stop the auto-skipping of dialogue.

It seems the text display-options do not show up in the german version.
In the English Version I can choose them and they are saved. In the German Version clicking on text display button simply returns to the game.
When switching back from english to the german version ist still the same problem. So the settings of the english version are saved somewhere else as the settings for the german version.
So maybe they simply forgot to implement the option selection for the text display in the german menu.
Or ist there another way to enter the Options Screen than the "Kirk" menu ?
If somebody knows where the Settings are saved, maybe I could do it manualy in the save file ?

Is this a bug of the original CD ROM Eng, Fre, Ger version?
(Same bug using Fr language)
EDIT: just tested on a CD ROM original version and the answer is YES, was a bug of the original game :(
