I'm new to the game and am trying out the design page... but am having an issue when adding a tractor beam to a flag ship. I get the message "tractor beam too small", no matter how many hexes I put behind it.

Am I doing something wrong?

you need a lot and one of the best ways is to start with one of the tractor ship designs and then add the extra parts you want... that way you you know
