saschafranse: I just got the game on GOG, and it looks like great fun. Unfortunately, whenever I start a new game I get a CTD. I'm using Windows 10 and from what I gather this is a known issue. I've installed the latest game update and the latest Radeon beta drivers. I've tried running the game as administrator and in compatibility mode for Windows 7/8, but more often than not it still crashes (when starting a completely vanilla, 2 AI, 60 systems game). Changing any of universe settings also invariably results in a CTD upon loading the game. One other thing I noticed is that the game appears to be struggling to load the menu textures upon startup. At first many icons in the New Game menu appear as white squares, and it takes the game a couple of seconds to load the proper textures. Has anyone had similar issues? And is there anything I can do about them (other than going back to Windows 8)? Thanks in advance.
