Dukelage: Judging by the screenshots and description, it looks like Star Dynasties is similar to Crusader Kings with the themes and styling of Stellaris. Is that a fair assessment? I'd enjoy experiencing another developer's take on a feudal simulator!
One of the best descriptions I've heard of the game is "Crusader Kings: Stellaris Edition" - it's more CK than Stellaris, but it has the space setting and themes, as well as a very hefty dose of emergent storytelling in the style Stellaris was marketed around. The feudal politics and social aspects are, if anything, even stronger than CK, because it uses them as core combat mechanics instead of a traditional "build armies and march them across the map" style of gameplay.
I've only just bought the game, and spent a LOT of the time I've been "playing" alt+tabbed out doing other things, but in the time I've played, I've completed the main tutorial, and continued from that scripted start into the game proper. Once I got into the main portion of gameplay, I managed to get annoyed at the archon I'm in service to, force them into a war, then refuse to support them even though I'm the reason they started it. And I managed to do it all without any loss of reputation, because I forced the war by making a demand for a territory I have a valid claim to, and I went through proper channels to pressure them into backing my claim. When I was called to batte, the defending army included members of my family, so I had valid ground to refuse to join the attack.
The game has a very well put together reputation system where you can avoid dishonour the way I did by picking the right actions and using the right channels to make things happen, or just build up enough rspect alongside your dishonourable actions that the fear of picking a fight with you is stronger than the desire to take revenge for your dishonourable actions. Or of course, if things go a little pear-shaped, you can end up in a 3 front war because you tried to pick a fight with someone who your vassal was related to, and they refused to support you, which in turn led to your defeat, and that loss reduced the respect you were relying on to keep other factions from declaring war over their own grievances against you.
