I cant figure out the controls for SC1, i know that you use the arrow keys to move but nothing else

I'm stuck here too. The PDF manual says 5 fires and 1 is special, but these keys do nothing for me.
EDIT: apparently Insert and Delete are attack 1 and 2 when using the arrow keys, and Tab and Shift are attack when using WASD. (terrible default controls btw)
