i started playing this gog version on ultrawide 21:9 i noticed issues like lamps flikering (moving camera) and trees having this weird artifacts on shadows flikering on trees, when looking at the sky,( noticable when moving camera/walking) i really wanted to try to play this on ultrawide for the imersion feeling, any solution?

ps: playing vanilla with ZRP widescreen scope and grass shadow fixes
It might be the grass shadow fix, it might not. It might be a function of your processor, your video drivers and/or your IGPU if Intel. It might be specific to DX9 or DX8.

Some possibly-related topics:

Ugly textures in ShoC and its mods -- use objects-only dynamic lighting or update video driver.

Solution to Intel dropping hardware support for DX9 in their integrated graphics cards found in 12th Gen (and up) CPUs and discrete Arc GPUs

hi again, no i already reinstalled vanilla no mods : my gpu is 3080 on i7 10700k i uploaded a video of the problem youtube.com/watch?v=zt-HMESJMU4.
> i already reinstalled vanilla no mods

So, no grass shadow fixes?

It is possible that some setting in user.ltx has changed. You could rename it and then see what the game shows you when you start it again and reload a recent save. If it is different, compare the user.ltx newly recreated by the game with the one you renamed to see what was changed.

Otherwise I'd experiment with your video card's driver's configuration tool settings. There are some three- and four-letter-initial settings that work better with different GPU manufacturers. Maybe one of them is causing this effect.

Unfortunately I know very little about the graphics side of this game. Hopefully someone with more expertise will see your video and know what the problem is.

hi , i emailed the developers, here is their response:

"Thank you for reaching out to us. We are aware of the issue you described, it is a known issue for wide aspect ratio monitors and sadly there will not be a fix for this because of the game limitations.

If you have any other issues please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Best regards,
Ken

Wow. Thank you for the update. It is indeed an old technology behind this game. I'm glad that at least you have an answer, if not the solution to the issue.
Looks like the typical bloom effect flickering due to it being rendered at a low resolution. Try this: open the console and type r2_ls_bloom_kernel_g 7

Here is a nightvision tweak that removes double vision: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bXCj2fcm6cRYFOF7EE9F2ZrQE7Av7-CF
Place the gamedata folder into your game folder.
