The problem is the game then runs so much too fast in the menus that it can damage your computer :-( Absolutely best would be a patch from the developers. I have a program with which I can overclock my CPU and GPU on the fly. What I use it for is to UNDERclock the computer as to avoid games like these to burn out components.

Exacty how to disable the V-synch I do not know but avoid staying for more than a single second in any menu if you unlock it.

yes i read that post that says how to disable it and i tried with D3DOverrider but it doesnt help the 60 fps cap stays there i also tried with rivatuner and again nothing i read in an another topic in gog about this thread that the gog developers must give their originall files in order to disable it

Yeah this is definitely a GOG thing; I fired up the CD version and had no such problem.

HOWEVER, Windows Defender marks the one I downloaded as a trojan, probably a false positive but there you go.
