The mention of Multiplayer is already a complete turn off. Plus the console design coming first is sad news. The finesse and timing with a keyboard and mouse cannot be added back into the world space after it was gimped for a console controller by default(the entire game world must be adjusted for this in order to be played on conoles). Auto aiming is more than likely going to be a thing. Plus rediculous name game nonsense. This is a waste of money before it gets released!

As far i understand its all done, but now they went mental and rewrite the story line because ukraine nr.1, so they need to change voice lines, and thus, can't update that Language. I go with that conclusion after seeing that their youtube channel is mostly Ukrainian support video stuff.,(thumbnails) i don't think they working on the game anymore, any work done is mostly changing the story to be super pro Ukraine. At least i have this feeling when seeing how they talk and all that, plus censoring any doubts or anything on that, in the steam forums.
I am sure they will lock out Modding Support at first to prevent dedicated Russians from Fan dubbing their 'favorite' game...

So first they wanted to add NFT's to the game, like everyone else. (Maybe Cut Content? It delayed the game a First Time!)
Then They removed Russian Language. Even though Trailers were in Russian. Months later Uploaded in English...
And as we had it with Mass Effect, Story Side Content may be just some important backstory that they reserved just for the most paying folk.
Also the ULTIMATE Edition you can't even buy if your in Russia, cause only physical, has 2 EXTRA special missions!
Also they shafted you Steam key promises for buying Physical, no option for GOG.

To sum it up, unless you shelf up the money for it, you get 3 Missions that may or may not be Story Related, or just totally random find X amount of something.
The extra Skins, they really should just sell as DLC, instead of forcing you to choose....

I'm envisioning a situation similar to the fiasco that was the last Wolfenstein game.

Well said. Unfortunately you get this when there's a war. The propaganda is just unbelievable. Best way to to get satisfaction is quietly make a donation to help the brave men and women like I'm doing. If everyone did that the war would be over.

This is far from a bad example of "Day 1 DLC" or pre-order bonuses and considering this is a very small studio compared to the big names like EA, Ubi, Epic etc going after them for this is pathetically misguided and will genuinely achieve absolutely NOTHING except maybe hurting a small developer.

If this game looks like the hype, includes full multiplayer functionality and dibs on some "free" DLC, etc. out of the box, I'll buy the Ultimate Edition. Being a highly-jaded veteran gamer I have my hopes up over this Stalker 2. Stalker 1 HoC wouldn't even install on my system sadly.
