I'm currently playing Shadow of Chernobyl and I seem to be unable to turn off the character shadows. The bar is basically grey'd out at max. Now my computer isn't the best thing, but it helps a great deal when I can turn off shadows and the like. Is there any way to fix this problem?

Some settings are related to the renderer; choose a lower DirectX level for a big performance difference and you'll also be able to change shadows if you still need to after that.
