So here's what I need to know:

The three STALKER games have, each on its page, a list of OSes under which the games will run. In fact, there are two such lists on each page: one to the right of the game description, and another directly under the game description.

Interestingly, they conflict ever so slightly: The list to the right of the game description says the game will run under Windows 7, 8, and 10. The list underneath the game description says that it will run under Win XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10.

I'd like a clarification from the mods, or someone in some sort of official capacity, that these game will in fact run under XP SP3. (I'm not interested in official tech support but I *am* interested in knowing if the versions to be downloaded are the same that were available when the games *were* supported.)

(Maybe I'll get lucky and get this clarification before the sale ends!)

Thanks in advance!
Stay safe!
Well, I see that they're no longer on sale, and I'm not going to spend $60 for them.

But maybe I'll get an answer to my question in time for the NEXT sale!

: )
Well, the first sale has been and gone but the series is on sale again. But I *still* haven't gotten an answer. The current sale is ending in a few days; perhaps I will get an answer in time for the *next* sale.

Maybe the inquiry I send to Tech Support will get a response.

It's not impossible.
It is easy: GOG supports the same that MS does. Even if a game works today on older Windows (any from before Win 8.1 at the moment), that can change any time with NO warning at all.

There are exceptions where they could not make a game work on anything modern.

Maybe you could try the same with a similar game in your Library that has win Xp support. If it works then this game should work as well.
