I'd like to disable lens flares in Call of Pripyat (they annoy me). I found a couple notes online about how to do it. One involves editing LTX files; the other is a mod that replaces some relevant textures (DDS files). Neither worked for me.

Does anybody know how to get rid of this pesky effect?

FYI I've installed AtmosFear, Absolute Nature, and Absolute Structures, so perhaps that complicates things.
