Hey guys, first off this is my first post so lemme know if I can present anything here better.

So the issue I'm having is that the shadows or lighting just looks broken. This includes campfire lights and/or shadows as well as normal lights. It kind of looks like shadows are going in and our of the surrounding surfaces and just looks glitchy in general. I don't think it's the same as the 'blob' shadows I've seen people report.

These are what I have installed.
SoC patch 1.0004
ZRP 1.07 (I think)
Absolute Nature 2/Structure

That's it. I was going to add the weather overhaul and shaders max, but since they both had files pertaining to lighting and shadows, I thought I should get my problem fixed. I launched and checked SoC every time I installed one of the mods, once with dynamic lighting on and once with it off. The mods did not affect the issue, as in, I don't think they are the problem.

I've scoured and found the rn2_sun_whatever it was setting ,but they did not fix it.

Btw the problem occurred even before adding any mods, which leads me to assume it's an issue with my graphics card or something.

My laptop specs.
Lenovo Thinkpad E460
Intel Core i3-6100U @ 2.3GHz
8 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics 520
Windows 10
I just got this laptop like two days ago. I like it.

The newest game it runs is Divinity Original Sin: Enhanced Edition, albeit on low presets with shitty(low) shadows and no AA. So I would think an 8 year old game's light settings would be fine.

Just to be clear about my personal expertise on these things, it's very little lol. If it ends up being that I can't properly use Full Dynamic Lighting, it's ok. It would just be nice to look at and have the nice Weather Overhaul.

I'll try and add screenshot later when I have time.

Thanks,
Pkk

The dynamic lighting setting in STALKER is buggy with framerates all over the place, I remember that whenever I played any of the STALKER games I always went back to static lighting.
This by the way has nothing to do with how old the game is but with how it's implemented, I have old games that run like shite on modern computers today but ran smooth 10 years ago on contemporary equipement.
Alright, well I'll stick with the Static Lighting. Doesn't look too bad anyways.

Do you know if it's for all of them? I'll play them all regardless, but I would like to not be dissappointed again.

Either way thanks for clearing that up, Strijk.
From my experience all the games suffer from it, also mods that implement ENB enhancements tend to make it even worse.
