AtmosFear 3 - always cloudy

So I've returned to CoP after couple of long years and found AtmosFear 3 - mod looked stunning, so I've downloaded it, installed and was amazed by the beautiful skyboxes. Unfortunately, only for the 1st 10 minutes of the game.

For me, AF3 seems to be working only when I start a new game and as soon as any transition (teleportation?) or game-load occurs the sky defaults to what seems like a vanilla cloudy sky.

I've tried re-installing both the game and the mod, and verifying the files. No matter what settings I use in AF3 options menu (default, always sunny, etc. I'm constantly seeing a damn gray, cloudy sky.

I'm using 1.6.02 on GoG

I'd appreciate any advice that will allow me to enjoy AtmosFear properly :)
