Hello everyone.

I have version 424 installed dated 11/29/2024 and it works fine, although with some flickering textures and minor errors with some objects. I have an i7 10700K and a 10GB Geforce RTX 3080. I have now downloaded version 1.0.3 which is 40 files and I wanted to know if when I install it the current saved games and progress I had with version 424 will be kept.

they should be kept, yes.

ediit: but to be save back them up (AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\GOG\SaveGames)

Thank you so much for responding so quickly. I had already backed up my saves to another disk, but I haven't updated the new version yet. I'm now walking around the dump area and it seems to be working fine, although I've already seen several NPCs stuck in a fixed spot and moving around as if they were walking. It's a bug in the game.

To install the new version 1.0.3 (which is 40 files), I guess you'll have to uninstall the current one and then install the new one by running the file: “setup_s.t.a.l.k.e.r._2_heart_of_chornobyl_1.0.3_(78227).exe”

Is this correct?

Another question:

Is this version 1.0.3 the one that comes with patch 1.0.1 from 11/29/2024, which they say is the first patch that fixed over 650 different bugs and issues??

AFAIK you don't need to uninstall.

Version 1.0.3 is the latest version and has everything they released so far.
