Thanks to the lovely efforts of Dege on dgVoodoo2, Splinter Cell is full playable with the buffer shadows working as they should. It should be noted that this fix is still WIP, but from what I have played I have not noticed anything odd so I felt it should be shared from the Vogons forums:
