I've just bougth and downloaded Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition 35325C_linux 1.7 GB. The install finished well, icon on desktop, but cannot start the game.

if I start from console: ./start.sh sais that there is no Spiritfarer.x86_64 file.

I could resolve with modifying start.sh to lowecase spiritfarer.x86_64.

Maybe it will help to you.

I have the same problem, just start it directly from the game directory like this:
./game/spiritfarer.x86_64
if you want you can fix the script by modifying line n.20 in start.sh:
./"Spiritfarer.x86_64"
with this line:
./game/spiritfarer.x86_64
and it should work with the icon from your desktop
