I've got direct x 11 installed on windows 8.1 and I have restarted my laptop a few times but it still shows this error.
How do I fix this?

XINPUT1_3.DLL is missing. please reinstall.

I know manually messing with DLL files is probably a bad idea, but Any clue as how to fix this?

An answer to the same question here suggested downloading & installing the June 2010 DirectX Runtimes (official link is in the chosen answer to that question). I'd try that before messing around with downloading individual .DLLs from tha interwebz. :)

Hi,

I'm getting the following error when I try to run UnrealTournament.exe:

XINPUT1_3.dll is missing.

OS: Windows 8.1 with DirectX 11.

Does anyone know how to reinstall DirectX 11 on Windows 8.1?

You need DirectX 9. Since v10 DirectX library set is no more cumulative. So, you have to install DIrectX 9 for older games, regardless to what you OS reports. You answer is stiil the same.
