I am posting this here, since it appears toe old Spellforce forums have long gone an I figured somone might know, or know somewhere I can ask if not here.

I have the original disc copy of Spellforce gold, plus Shadow of the Phoenix. Will this run on Windows 10, or would I be better re-buying it as the Platinum version?

Windows 10 hates old games. You'd be better off buying the GOG version which is guaranteed to run.

My disc of the Platinum version installs a nasty copy protection, that prevents 64bit systems from booting. Had to boot into safe mode and get some tool to remove it.
With a crack it should work fine though.

SpellForce 1 Platinum Edition (DVD of 2005) works great on win 10, since it comes protection free out of the box.
