Me and my friend bought the fallen god expansion to play the campaign coop, i bought it over GOG and my friend has it on steam.

When we try to play, whoever is not hosting gets over 5000 ping, this happens in both skirmish and campaign, furthermore i dont have acces to the other races in skirmish while my friend does.
Is the high ping and issue between the two platforms? We live in the same Country so distance is not the issue here.

We have played the original game and soul harvest game with no issues.

I can't comment on the ping, but not having the other races is linked to the gog version, it does not recognise your other installations I'm afraid, it seems SH needs an update that's not happening on GOG

I am in the same situation as you - I have a friend with Steam version and I am on GOG version. We tried to run a campaign in co-op mode, but we were having quite a lag there (units were stuck for 2-3s, eventhough walking animation was running).

I am not sure though if this has anything to do with me being on mobile hotspot though, had similar issues with some other games due to that setup.
