I couldn't find the appropriate forum so I figured I'd post my problem here. If its wrong, please tell me and I'll post elsewhere.

In short, my sound isn't working properly. I get some background sounds but no voices, and other sounds aren't quite right.

Hmm, try reinstalling the game in C:\Games or some similar place outside system-wide folders (like Program Files)... then check the settings for the game. And try updating your audio drivers.

I've already updated the audio drivers. As for the directory, I always install stuff to a seperate drive since my main drive has a read rate of 50 and my raptor has a read rate of 120. I also made sure to give recursive permisions to everything in the directory since that can cause issues.

Hmmm, did you check the game's settings / options? Are the audio-related ones enabled?

Also, see if the game is muted (this is if you're running Vista or 7). Start the game, alt-tab it, click the volume icon in the system tray, then click Mixer. See if the game is muted there.

Again, only some of the sound doesn't work. Maybe I need to reinstall or something.

[edit] Just reinstalled the game, lets hope that fixes the problem.
